It’s all going on in Kansas City. Firstly this woman appears on some low-rent news station giving an oscar winning performance for her eyewitness report. Then someone takes it, gives it the vocoder effect and hey presto a genuine chart classic. Nice.
Sandy Paws is an animal “grooming” shop based in “Old Town” Yucca Valley. Look it up on google maps, it looks thoroughly depressing. Clearly if you live in Yucca Valley California, their isn’t a whole lot going on. So what better way to spend your time than to dress your dog up to look like a camel, or a ninja turtle, or even a peacock. I shit you not. Sandy Paws you should be ashamed. And no I don’t think Cindy enjoys it, as you say, (Cindy is the dog at the centre of each transformation by the way) just look at the fear in poor Cindy’s face when you dressed her up as a dragon. Roooaaar!
I’ve been a bit rubbish recently (see what i did there) and not posted as much as I should. Soz. Anyway Tarp surfing was one of those things I meant to put up here but just forgot. But as it’s doing the rounds again and because it’s pretty cool I’ve posted it anyways. If you didn’t see it the first time round enjoy.
In the India, pole dancing championships means something very different to what you and I would imagine. Gone are sexy women or half drunk flabby girls in clubs and in come agile men who perform sublime athletic moves.
Probably the most incredible thing you’ll see……today.
If you’re first thought when looking at the painting above by Alexa Meade is “What’s so incredible about this?” Then like me you probably thought they were just paintings of people done on a photo. But if that were the case the paintings would be pretty dull? What makes Alexa Meade’s technique so interesting is that rather than painting on a flat surface to make it look 3 dimensional, she paints real 3D surfaces to make them look like paintings. Got it? Each photographic portrait is actually a real person painted to look like a flat painting. Mad but brilliant. Check her daubs out here.
John Pound is an incredible comic book artist who is probably most famous worldwide for his illustrations that adorned The Garbage Pail Kids stickers and cards in the 80’s. You used to collect the cards by buying Topps chewing gum and were greeted with such fab illustrations as Adam Bomb and Drew Blood. You can view this bit of nostalgia here.
Alexis Malbert is a mixmaster general from The France. But rather than use conventional decks, Alexis likes to keep it real and use old cassette tapes to make some crazeee sounds. And I mean crazy. Mix tape fun here.
