What’s your secret?

April 28, 2010

50 people one question is a fantastic website/video project where the creators have gone out onto the streets of New York and asked 50 people one simple question (funny that) What’s your secret?

Boring, I hear you say, but the results are strangely intriguing and mesmerizing. The answers range from the ridiculous to the heartfelt and scary the end result makes for compelling viewing. Check out the master film and the four other they have created here.

Matthew Lyons is a seemingly talented illustrator and creative individual studying at Loughborough University. His recent work of fictional movie title cards are fantastic. Sweet work here.

Alice, who the f@%k is Alice

January 4, 2010

The most recent Alice in Wonderland trailer is out. The eagerly awaited adaption of Lewis Carroll’s story by the wonderful Tim Burton.

The latest trailer features even more CGI, it’s almost like your watching a  cartoon and it’s hard to discern between what is animation and what is real. When you look at Johnny Depp’s face it almost moves in unnatural way, the sort of thing you would expect to see in an anime when their hair moves to show a reaction to something. There are ton’s of little details and in the trailer.

The film doesn’t come out until May 5th, which seems like ages away. But if last year was anything to go by, it’ll feel like the end of newt week. Exciting.

Mali and me

December 22, 2009

Sorry everyone for the lack of activity on my blog. But I’ve been in Mali helping build a school in a remote village near Bamako. And as you can imagine the internet is not high on the priority list when you don’t even have fresh water. So I had no idea the blog was down. Anyway it was an amazing experience and I’m back in Blighty and ready to blog. Woo hoo.

Merry Christmas everyone.
