Yes you read correctly. It is a one room apartment that can transform into 24 different rooms. Why you would need 24 rooms is beyond me? After kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, I’m lost. But the designer believes that this layout is an efficient use of space.
One way he could have been more efficient would have been to get rid of the 10, 000 cd’s taking up half the room and buy an ipod.
50 people one question is a fantastic website/video project where the creators have gone out onto the streets of New York and asked 50 people one simple question (funny that) What’s your secret?
Boring, I hear you say, but the results are strangely intriguing and mesmerizing. The answers range from the ridiculous to the heartfelt and scary the end result makes for compelling viewing. Check out the master film and the four other they have created here.
The future of books is right here.
More interactive fun. This time thanks to Axe (American for Lynx) de-oderant. It features clever use of your web-cam. Tonally it’s pretty low-rent, but fun all the same. Check it out here.
More 3D stuff.
Probably the most incredible thing you’ll see……today.
If you’re first thought when looking at the painting above by Alexa Meade is “What’s so incredible about this?” Then like me you probably thought they were just paintings of people done on a photo. But if that were the case the paintings would be pretty dull? What makes Alexa Meade’s technique so interesting is that rather than painting on a flat surface to make it look 3 dimensional, she paints real 3D surfaces to make them look like paintings. Got it? Each photographic portrait is actually a real person painted to look like a flat painting. Mad but brilliant. Check her daubs out here.
The fab Mayer Hawthorne. If you like the sound of this vid or just wanna know more about Mayer, you can check him out here.
Sound of the summer.
