I’m dreaming of a Great White Christmas

December 17, 2008

SCIENTISTS are to test whether sharks enjoy listening to Christmas pop songs, it was revealed yesterday.

They will also find out whether the fish prefer Slade’s Merry Christmas Everyone to Cliff Richard’s Mistletoe and Wine.

More on this story here.

Must be a quiet news day.

Lost and found

December 15, 2008

oliver jefferies

‘Lost and Found’, is  a short film based on the short story of the same name by the wonderfully talented illustrator Oliver Jeffers. Oliver is an incredibly gifted artist and storyteller, who makes children’s books that have real wit and charm, and none of this has been lost in the 3d animated route. Which can only mean hats off to studio aka. And what’s more the great  thing is we all get a chance to watch it on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve and boxing day.

So make some mulled wine, light a fire and sit down in front of ‘Lost and Found’ and have your heart well and truly warmed.

Burnt toast

November 23, 2008

I love toast, but I’m not sure why I’d want to use one as a bandage. I suppose if you burn yourself while making toast and need a bandage you could giggle at the irony. The sales pitch “Toast is much more than just a side order. Put one of these Toast Bandages on any minor wound to experience for yourself the incredible healing power of toast” Eh? If you’re still interested. Buy them here.
