Adam bomb

April 9, 2010

John Pound is an incredible comic book artist who is probably most famous worldwide for his illustrations that adorned The Garbage Pail Kids stickers and cards in the 80’s. You used to collect the cards by buying Topps chewing gum and were greeted with such fab illustrations as Adam Bomb and Drew Blood. You can view this bit of nostalgia here.

Dog twitter

February 18, 2010

If you own a dog like me. You can now set up a twitter account for them. So when your pooch has finished being sociable in the park (sniffing another dogs arse) they can be sociable at home. The unique iphone app records your dog’s bark and turn’s it into a tweet.

Unfortunately this only exists in The japan at the moment and Mattel are set to release their own version later this year. Has the world gone barking mad? (Obvious pun I know, but i couldn’t resist.

Bear necessities

January 24, 2010

Kent Rogowski has created a series of portraits of ordinary teddy bears, but unusually each Bear has been turned inside out and restuffed.

Kent reckons “Each animal’s appearance is determined by the necessities of the manufacturing process. Simple patterns and devices never meant to be seen are now prominent physical characteristics, giving each one a distinctly quirky personality: their fasteners become eyes, their seams become scars, and their stuffing creeps out in the most unexpected places. Together these images form a topology of strange yet oddly familiar creatures. They are at once hideous yet cuddly, disturbing yet endearing, absurd yet adorable, while offering a metaphor for us all to consider. These bears, which have lived and loved and lost as much as their owners, have suffered and endured through it all. It is by virtue of revealing their inner core might we better understand our own.”

More bear stuff here.

Is it an i-phone? No it’s Apple tablet, a giant i-phone

January 7, 2010

The highly anticipated Apple tablet is set to get a release date announcement on January 26th. The oversized I-phone will feature a 10.1 screen and enough power to run all your app’s and video software, but it will have a battery life of only 10 minutes (my guess). Not sure where this is supposed to fit into your product usage, but no doubt it will be success and everyone will want one.
